Volleyball Recap: Sayre Takes a Loss

Sayre was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Scott Eagles.

Jett Hanks went supernova For Scott., getting 11 digs, seven kills, six aces, and one block. Another player making a difference was Ethan Tetzel, who had 18 digs and three assists.

Sayre's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Scott, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-10-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sayre will welcome East Jessamine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans are facing the Jaguars at the right time seeing as the Jaguars are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Scott, they will square off against Dayton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
