Basketball Game Preview: North Tahoe Lakers vs. Yerington Lions

The North Tahoe Lakers will venture away from home to take on the Yerington Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

North Tahoe is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Pershing County just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 61-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, Yerington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 63-50 to Pershing County.

Yerington's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for North Tahoe, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.

North Tahoe opened the new year with a less-than-successful 49-39 loss to Yerington. Can North Tahoe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
