Weber faced Layton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Warriors who were credited with the win. The Weber Warriors got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Layton Lancers' three. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Weber as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Sadie Fletcher, who's now up to eight this season.

Weber's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Layton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Coincidentally, Weber and Layton will both be playing Farmington the next time they take the pitch. The Lancers will host the Phoenix at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on the 12th.
