The Corinth Warriors will square off against the New Hope Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Corinth has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight losses, while New Hope will come in with five straight victories.
Corinth came up short against Lafayette on Thursday, falling 10-3.
Addyson Moore made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kinley Pittman, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Moore wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Corinth lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Hope). They never let Clarksdale get on the board and left with a 24-0 win on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Trojans with their most commanding win of the season.
Kaselyn Harcrow was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). What's more, she gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in February. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jeoreia Henry, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, eight RBI, and three runs. Those eight RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Harper Minton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, six RBI, and one double.
New Hope's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Corinth, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
