Basketball Game Preview: Lehi Pioneers vs. Skyridge Falcons

The Lehi Pioneers will venture away from home to face off against the Skyridge Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lehi is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.7 points per game this season.

Lehi is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Westlake, who was ranked 12th at the time (Lehi was ranked 20th). Lehi secured a 66-60 W over Westlake on Tuesday.

It was another big night for Easton Hawkins, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in November of 2024. Saxon Young was another key player, putting up nine points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Skyridge came up short against Lone Peak on Tuesday, falling 67-44. The matchup marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Lehi has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Skyridge, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-10.

Lehi beat Skyridge 69-62 when the teams last played back in January. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Skyridge's Jordan Kohler, who posted 27 points and eight boards.
