Wharton might have lost, but man, Brandon Sims Jr was a machine: he rushed for 150 yards on only seven carries. With that strong performance, Sims Jr is now averaging an impressive 100.9 rushing yards per game.

Meanwhile, West Orange-Stark came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Longhorns, sneaking past 22-20.

West Orange-Stark's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Wharton, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
