Soccer Game Preview: Spring Mills vs. Jefferson

Spring Mills hasn't had much luck against Jefferson recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cardinals will square off against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Spring Mills took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand Petersburg a 5-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Aiyanna Rinker as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Jefferson's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They blew past Martinsburg 4-0. The high-scoring effort was just what Jefferson needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Spring Mills' victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 6-8-1.

Spring Mills suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Jefferson in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Cardinals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
