Baseball Game Preview: East Burke Cavaliers vs. West Lincoln Rebels

East Burke hasn't had much luck against West Lincoln recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cavaliers will look to defend their home field against the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. East Burke will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

On Tuesday, East Burke needed a bit of extra time to put away Lincolnton. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Wolves. The Cavaliers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, West Lincoln didn't have quite enough to beat Cherryville on Thursday and fell 3-2. The Rebels have struggled against the Ironmen recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

West Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for East Burke, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.
