Volleyball Recap: Mountain View's Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over

After flying high against Severance last Tuesday, Mountain View came back down to earth. The Mountain Lions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thompson Valley Eagles on Tuesday. The Mountain Lions' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Mountain View was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Thompson Valley work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 23-25, 27-25, 25-19.

Addison Roark paced Mountain View's offense, picking up 19 kills. Roark got some help from Jaya Hickey and her 31 assists. Katy O'Brien controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Thompson Valley, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

Mountain View didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Timnath on the 2nd. As for Thompson Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Wellington on the 2nd.
