Baseball Recap: Clinton Central Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Clinton Central had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Pioneer Panthers by a score of 10-6 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Clinton Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Klayton Stevens, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave Stevens a new career-high.

Clinton Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-1 defeat against Delphi Community on the 7th. As for Pioneer, they have also already played their next matchup, a 9-8 victory against Tri-County on the 8th.
