Basketball Recap: Benson Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pima, Benson was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Lincoln Prep Lightning by a score of 52-43.

Among those leading the charge was Domonik Villa, who posted 18 points and six assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Dawson Judd, who put up eight points in addition to 13 boards and three steals.

When it comes to explaining why Lincoln Prep lost, don't look at Dionte James. Despite the final result, he had ten points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Filleman, who posted eight points.

The win got Benson back to even at 1-1. As for Lincoln Prep, they moved to 4-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Benson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-42 defeat against Thatcher on the 6th. As for Lincoln Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 53-43 loss against NFL Yet Academy on the 11th.
