Buckeye has gone 9-1 against Normandy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Bucks are taking a road trip to square off against the Invaders at 5:00 p.m.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Buckeye's offense. They fell 4-0 to St. Edward on Saturday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Bucks were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Normandy can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. Everything went their way against Elyria as they made off with a 10-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Invaders, who have now won four matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Evan Lucas was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Normandy is undefeated when Lucas posts two or more runs, but 1-4 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nick Hinkle, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. He is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Normandy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win got Normandy back to even at 4-4. As for Buckeye, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.

Buckeye came out on top in a nail-biter against Normandy in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, sneaking past 5-4. Will the Bucks repeat their success, or do the Invaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
