Volleyball Recap: Granby Picks Up Third Consecutive Win + How To Watch

Granby waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Churchland Truckers. That's more bragging rights for the Comets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Granby not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Churchland between 16 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19, 25-19.

Granby had a senior duo take command as Davis Mendoza had 14 digs and two aces and Will Findlay had seven aces and six digs. Findlay is on a roll when it comes to aces, as he's now served two or more in each of the last five games he's played dating back to last season.

Granby was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 23 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in 22 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Granby's record now sits at 3-0. As for Churchland, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Granby will welcome Hickory at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Churchland, they will host Booker T. Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
