Scotland extended their postseason success on Tuesday against South Johnston. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 7-2. Winning may never get old, but the Fighting Scots sure are getting used to it with their 27th in a row.

Avery Stutts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Dawson Blue and Ramsey Hale did most of the damage at the plate: Blue went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Hale went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those four stolen bases gave Blue a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Scotland hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in 11 consecutive contests.

Scotland's victory was their 17th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 28-1. As for South Johnston, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Scotland beat the Trojans by a score of 8-1 on Thursday.
