Baseball Recap: West Valley Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Valley can now relate to. They came up short against the Santa Clara Bruins on Thursday, falling 6-0. It was the first time this season that the Eagles let down their fans at home.

West Valley got a good showing from Aiden Sweet, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

At the plate, West Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Mcfadden, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

West Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 23-5. As for Santa Clara, their win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 29-3.

As of now, neither West Valley nor the Bruins have any future games scheduled.
