Football Recap: Forney Jackrabbits vs. Wylie East Raiders
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Forney can now relate to. They fell 35-28 to the Wylie East Raiders on Friday. The contest was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but the Jackrabbits couldn't quite close it out.
Howard Fisher IV was his usual excellent self, throwing for 191 yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground for Wylie East. Amarean Porter also helped out with an impressive 85 receiving yards.
Forney now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Wylie East, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Forney does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wylie East, they will take on DeSoto at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wylie East is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
