Baseball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Franklin fell victim to Lincoln and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Lynx, falling 14-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Quakers in their meetings with the Lynx: they've now lost five in a row.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Lincoln, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin will head out to face off against Cleveland at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lincoln, they will venture away from home to challenge Lakeside at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lynx 2, the Lions 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
