Volleyball Recap: Soroco Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Soroco was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of North Park two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vail Christian Saints on Thursday. The Rams have struggled against the Saints recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-12, 21-25, 25-13, 25-16.

Kolbie Pierce paced Soroco's offense, picking up nine kills. Pierce got some help from Makinly Long and her ten assists. Finally, Pierce was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Soroco's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Vail Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Soroco has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against West Grand on the 10th. As for Vail Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Aspen at 6:00 p.m.
