Basketball Recap: Whitman-Hanson Regional Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Whitman-Hanson Regional put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past the Plymouth South Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 61-47. Whitman-Hanson Regional has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Plymouth South, too.

Whitman-Hanson Regional's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Plymouth South, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitman-Hanson Regional will take on Duxbury at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plymouth South, they will be playing at home against North Quincy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Quincy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Plymouth South likes a good challenge.
