Softball Recap: Wolfe County Wolves vs. Estill County Engineers
After flying high against Jackson City on Monday, Wolfe County came back down to earth. The Wolves lost 18-9 to the Estill County Engineers on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Engineers: they've now lost three in a row.
Chloy Creech stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Allen, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Wolfe County's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Estill County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.
