Baseball Game Preview: Clarke County Eagles vs. Stonewall Jackson Generals

Clarke County is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Stonewall Jackson a six-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Clarke County Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Stonewall Jackson Generals at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Saturday, Clarke County came up short against Strasburg and fell 10-7.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Stonewall Jackson and Madison County have met, but the home crowd finally got their W last Friday. The Generals might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-1 to the Mountaineers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Clarke County's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Stonewall Jackson, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Everything went Clarke County's way against Stonewall Jackson when the teams last played back in April, as Clarke County made off with a 16-3 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Generals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
