Softball Recap: King Comes Up Short

King came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-5 to the Veterans Memorial Chargers.

King dropped their record down to 3-3 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Veterans Memorial, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-8.

Coming up, King will venture away from home to square off against Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. King has given up an average of 9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Veterans Memorial, they have already played their next game, a 13-2 loss against Tuloso-Midway on the 1st.
