Soccer Game Preview: Altamont vs. Indian Springs

Altamont hasn't had much luck against Indian Springs recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Altamont Knights will host the Indian Springs Student at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Altamont made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Holy Spirit Catholic, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Altamont blew past Holy Spirit Catholic 4-1 on Tuesday. The score was close at the half, but the Knights pulled away in the second half with four goals.

Meanwhile, Indian Springs kept a clean sheet against Sipsey Valley on Monday. They put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 10-0 victory. The result kept the Student happy, as they haven't lost a game since February 20th.

Indian Springs has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six matches. The win made it two in a row for Altamont and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Altamont came up short against Indian Springs in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, falling 3-1. Can Altamont avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
