Volleyball Game Preview: Scripps Ranch Falcons vs. Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns + How To Watch

On Friday, Scripps Ranch came up short against Cathedral Catholic and fell 3-1.

Scripps Ranch was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Cathedral Catholic work for it, especially in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 15-25, 25-20, 26-24.

Rancho Buena Vista not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 7th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against San Pasqual as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Longhorns in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Rancho Buena Vista never let San Pasqual on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-22, 25-20.

Scripps Ranch has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-15 record this season. As for Rancho Buena Vista, their win bumped their record up to 7-24.

Scripps Ranch beat Rancho Buena Vista 2-0 in their previous meeting back in September. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Longhorns have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
