Football Recap: Russell Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four games, Russell finally came back down to earth on Friday. They came up short against the Breathitt County Bobcats, falling 35-13. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Red Devils, who until this matchup were averaging 12.7 points allowed.

Although Russell took the loss, they still got scores from Cayden Pennington and Grayson Kiser.

Russell's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2. As for Breathitt County, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Russell wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 48-0 win against Carroll County on the 6th. As for Breathitt County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 54-0 victory against St. Henry on the 7th.
