Volleyball Recap: West Rowan Comes Up Short

If West Rowan was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Jay M. Robinson on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons lost 3-0 to the Carson Cougars on Thursday. The Falcons have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-18, 25-4.

Lydia Wilson paced West Rowan's offense, picking up eight kills. Wilson got some help from Brinley Hiatt and her 16 assists.

Carson can attribute much of their success to Alana Herring, who had ten digs and two assists.

West Rowan's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Carson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

West Rowan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Mount Pleasant on the 29th. As for Carson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Jay M. Robinson on the 30th.
