Soccer Recap: Utica Ford Comes Up Short

After flying high against Fraser on Monday, Utica Ford came back down to earth. The Falcons fell just short of the Chippewa Valley Big Reds by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. Utica Ford were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Chippewa Valley earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Utica Ford dropped their record down to 5-10-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Chippewa Valley, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2-1 and their overall record up to 2-8-4.

Looking ahead, Utica Ford will head out on the road to face off against Athens at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chippewa Valley, they will face off against Fraser at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
