Preview: Bishop McGuinness Villains vs. South Stokes Sauras
The Bishop McGuinness Villains will be playing in front of their home fans against the South Stokes Sauras at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Friday, Bishop McGuinness came up short against Christ the King and fell 31-22.
Bishop McGuinness' loss came about despite a quality game from Alex Waterfield, who threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, South Stokes took a serious blow against Starmount two weeks ago, falling 70-6. South Stokes was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-0.
Bishop McGuinness' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5. As for South Stokes, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-8.
Bishop McGuinness was taken down by South Stokes 49-14 in their previous meeting back in August of 2022. Will Bishop McGuinness have more luck at home instead of on the road?
