Volleyball Recap: Cameron County Takes a Loss

Cameron County lost against Coudersport back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Raiders took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Cameron County ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 21-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Their offense was headlined by Ava Hilfiger and Elsie Bresslin, who picked up 13 kills apiece. They got some help from Addison McAulay and her 24 assists. Milla Magaro controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Coudersport can attribute much of their success to Madyson Giebel, who had 14 digs. That's the most digs Giebel has posted over her last ten contests.

Cameron County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-1. As for Coudersport, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.

Cameron County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Austin on the 9th. As for Coudersport, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Northern Potter on the 10th.
