Softball Recap: Somonauk Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Somonauk's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Newark Norsemen on Tuesday. The Bobcats have struggled against the Norsemen recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Somonauk saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaydence Eade, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Somonauk's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Newark, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-14-2 record this season.

While Somonauk had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
