Volleyball Recap: Jefferson City Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Jefferson City extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 12-8-1. They blew past the Fatima Comets 3-0. The Jays have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Comets, too.

Haley Niermeyer paced Jefferson City's offense, picking up 13 kills. Niermeyer got some help from Ella Showers and her 28 assists. Showers was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

As for Fatima, they moved to 15-3 with that defeat, which also ended their 11-match winning streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since September 11th.

Fatima's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaylee Berhorst, who had 14 digs and four assists.

Jefferson City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Camdenton on the 30th. As for Fatima, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Father Tolton on the 29th.
