Volleyball Recap: Caldwell Starts off Right with Win over Frontier

Caldwell had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Frontier Cougars 3-0 on Wednesday. The Redskins haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-11, 25-19.

Shelby Pakes paced Caldwell's offense, picking up nine kills. Pakes got some help from Sophia Marshall and her 30 assists. Marshall also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Addysyn Leake, racking up five apiece.

Frontier's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caldwell will square off against Conotton Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Frontier, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Waterford at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
