Baseball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Battle Mountain

Battle Mountain posted their closest win since April 16th on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-12 victory over the Aspen Skiers. For the Huskies, this counts as revenge for the 5-3 win the Skiers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Jack Reed was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Kai Tipton was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Battle Mountain's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-11. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Aspen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Battle Mountain beat the Skiers by a score of 6-4 later that day.
