Basketball Recap: Thad Beckley Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Sherwood Christian Academy

Southwest Georgia Academy hadn't done well against Sherwood Christian Academy recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Southwest Georgia Academy Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-58 win over the Sherwood Christian Academy Eagles. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 62-50 loss the last time these two teams met.

Southwest Georgia Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Thad Beckley, who went 6 of 12 en route to 17 points in addition to seven assists and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Colt Williams, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.
