Baseball Recap: Baboquivari Takes a Loss

After flying high against San Carlos last Saturday, Baboquivari came back down to earth. The Warriors lost 10-1 to the Valley Union Blue Devils on Tuesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 3, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Baboquivari saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kolukeo Velasco, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Velasco is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Baboquivari's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Valley Union, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Baboquivari will welcome San Manuel at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valley Union, they are taking a road trip to challenge Duncan at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
