Football Recap: Brentwood Takes a Loss

Brentwood extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-7. They had to suffer through a 53-0 loss at the hands of the Clairton Bears. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Spartans were not able to get on the board.

As for Clairton, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 0.0 points on average over those games.

Jeff Thompson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 164 yards and four touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes. What's more, he racked up 168.8 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August. Deon Lovelace-Pompey was another key player, rushing for 83 yards and one score.

As of now, neither Brentwood nor Clairton have any future games scheduled.
