Basketball Recap: Furlow Charter School Takes a Loss

Furlow Charter School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 34th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Macon County Bulldogs and fell 86-19. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 57-9.

Macon County found their leader in freshman Jaden Hinton, who went 8 for 15 on his way to 18 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Solomon, who posted 11 points along with six boards and four steals.

Furlow Charter School's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Macon County, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Furlow Charter School Falcons take on the Central Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Furlow Charter School surely won't give up without a fight. As for Macon County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 68-54 victory against Hawkinsville on the 17th.
