Softball Game Preview: Mountain View Thunder vs. Evergreen Plainsmen

The Mountain View Thunder will take on the Evergreen Plainsmen at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither Mountain View nor Evergreen posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Tuesday, Mountain View came up short against Kelso and fell 4-1. The Thunder haven't had much luck with the Hilanders recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Mountain View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Palomino, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Evergreen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Heritage, falling 16-1.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Evergreen, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Mountain View took their victory against Evergreen in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunder since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
