Volleyball Recap: Osborne Comes Up Short on the Road Against Douglas County

Osborne kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Douglas County Tigers. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 14 in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-20.

Hanley Gonzales paced Osborne's offense, picking up two kills. Gonzales got some help from Sofia Gomez and her three assists. Gonzales was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Kynedie Thomas was a one-woman wrecking crew For Douglas County. as she had eight aces and three digs.

Coincidentally, Osborne and Douglas County will both be playing South Cobb the next time they take the court. The Cardinals will host the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
