Basketball Recap: Covenant Christian Comes Up Short

Covenant Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-39 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bay Area Christian Broncos. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-35 last Saturday.

Covenant Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Bay Area Christian, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covenant Christian will host Calvary Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Calvary Baptist is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.8 points per game this season. As for Bay Area Christian, they will welcome Logos Prep Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
