Baseball Recap: Lexington Christian Starts off Right with Win over Bourbon County

Lexington Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Bourbon County Colonels with a sharp 25-1 win. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 4-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Blake Campbell and Troy Kaczmarek were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Campbell tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Kaczmarek tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Campbell scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Kaczmarek scored two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Sam Pearson was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler King, who scored four runs while going 2-for-4.

Looking ahead, Lexington Christian will venture away from home to challenge West Jessamine at 10:00 a.m. on March 22nd. As for Bourbon County, they will welcome Calvary Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
