Softball Recap: Leroy Greene Academy's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Leroy Greene Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 27-11 margin over Valley Christian. The result was nothing new for Leroy Greene Academy, who have now won five matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Leroy Greene Academy got a massive performance out of Marley Nava, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, five runs, and one triple. Nava continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Irene Aceves was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and four RBI.

Leroy Greene Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Valley Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Coming up, Leroy Greene Academy will face off against Foresthill at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Valley Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Encina at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
