The College Prep & Leadership Academy Royals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 50-28 walloping at the hands of Carver.
College Prep & Leadership Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being MacKenzie Dumbuya, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Da?nysa Holloway, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals.
College Prep & Leadership Academy's loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.7 points per game. As for Carver, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. College Prep & Leadership Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bishop McGuinness at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Carver will be home for the holidays to greet South Stokes at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
