Baseball Game Preview: Temecula Valley Golden Bears vs. Great Oak Wolfpack

For the second straight game, Temecula Valley will face off against Great Oak. The Golden Bears will venture away from home to challenge the Wolfpack at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Temecula Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over Great Oak.

For Great Oak's part, they got a good showing from Riley Kronenfeld, who didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Kronenfeld has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Gavin Fien was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Jaxon Valenzuela also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Temecula Valley's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Great Oak, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-14.
