Volleyball Recap: Upperman Bees vs. Blackman Blaze

Upperman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Blackman Blaze. While the Bees didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Blaze 25-17 in the first set.

While Upperman ultimately came up short, they really made Blackman work, particularly in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-14, 20-25, 26-24, 15-11.

Ty Kirby paced Upperman's offense, picking up 18 kills. Kirby got some help from Beau Naylor and his 29 assists. Naylor was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.
