Volleyball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty lost against Corona del Sol back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions came up short against the Aztecs, falling 3-0. The Lions' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Liberty was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15, 25-18.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Corona del Sol, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-14 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty will challenge Boulder Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Corona del Sol, they will face off against Desert Vista at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Aztecs are facing the Thunder at the right time seeing as the Thunder are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
