Baseball Recap: Garrett Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Garrett took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Fairfield, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Railroaders skirted past the Falcons 8-6. The win was familiar territory for the Railroaders, who have now won three games in a row.

The team relied heavily on Josh Hogle, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Harper Lee was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Garrett's record now sits at 5-2. As for Fairfield, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
