Germantown faced Hamilton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Warhawks came out on top against the Chargers by a score of 5-2. The win was familiar territory for the Warhawks, who have now won five games in a row.

Evan Lauer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alex Reinke, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That RBI was his first of the season. Grady Cheever was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Germantown's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. As for Hamilton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-6.
