Volleyball Recap: Riverton Parke Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Riverton Parke challenged South Vermillion on Saturday. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Wildcats. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Riverton Parke was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-17.

This is the second loss in a row for Riverton Parke and nudges their season record down to 20-5. As for South Vermillion, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 8-11.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Riverton Parke is set to take on their familiar foe Covington at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, South Vermillion will square off against rival Attica at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
