Volleyball Recap: Peyton Weiss' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fairview over Broomfield

Fairview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Broomfield Eagles. The Knights were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Fairview was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Broomfield work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 29-27, 25-22.

Fairview lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Peyton Weiss, who had nine digs and two aces. Evelyn Thompson was another key player, getting eight digs and seven assists.

Fairview's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Broomfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season.

Fairview has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Centaurus on the 23rd. As for Broomfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Mead on the 23rd.
